Last day in Aix

Today was our last full day in Aix. We relocate to Lyon tomorrow.

Eli went to Aix's natural history museum today. Vic and Candie probably remember going there with us when they visited. The museum features fossils from all over Provence. Eli came home for lunch and napped while Jenafer, Marty, and Nano had crepes for lunch. He would probably have liked that, but he liked sleeping even more. After he got up, Eli and I bought diapers, then went with Jenafer and Marty to say goodbye to the boar fountain. Eli picked up the word "bo" almost immediately. I would really like to bring him back someday.

We ate out tonight at a restaurant on the Cours Mirabeau. Some highlights of the meal include Nano's assiete napoli, which was a sampler of Italianate favorites such as melon and prosciutto and eggplant parmesan; Marty's mojito sorbet; and the raspberry coulis that accompanied my fondant au chocolat (brownie). Eli got hold of a long spoon and, while no one was looking, managed to scoop up some of the coulis. When we get Jenafer's pictures, I'll add one to this post showing just what an accomplishment it was.

Tonight we will start cleaning the apartment so we can give it back in good condition tomorrow. We will really miss Aix and especially our apartment.
